Tradeshow Bill of Lading (BOL) Considerations

A bill of lading (BOL) is a document that is used to track the movement of goods during shipping. It is a legal contract between the shipper and the carrier. The BOL must include the following information:

  • Shipper: The name and address of the person or company that is shipping the goods.

  • Consignee: The name and address of the person or company that is receiving the goods.

  • Description of goods: A description of the goods being shipped, including the quantity, weight, and dimensions.

  • Freight terms: The terms of shipping, such as the mode of transportation and the payment terms.

  • Signature: The signature of the shipper or their authorized representative.

In addition to the information listed above, you may also need to include the following information on your BOL for tradeshow shipments:

  • Show name: The name of the tradeshow.

  • Booth number: The booth number where your booth will be located.

  • Dates of the show: The dates of the tradeshow.

  • Contact information: The name, phone number, and email address of a person who can be contacted if there are any problems with the shipment.

By following these tips, you can ensure that your tradeshow shipment arrives safely and on time.
